Any big department store will show you that. But lets take what the stores have in house – and visualize how these items will look in our homes…or outside of our homes.

The options for halloween games are way more fun with this book. I’ve gone through them all now.
Even the older games that we always played in school or daycamp have been made cooler because of this book. I don’t know how; they just are. Maybe they make more sense so they seem more fun.
I am really excited to try all of the games some time! I know my friends will too. There is just too many to choose from to do it all now.

I liked the idea of bobbing for apples but its really hard and sometimes the apples get really bruised and taste gross! Bobbing for cookies is way cooler, way yummier and makes this game really fun. Plus the cookies don’t bruise.
Amara says: (@ Age 6)
“The ghost races are the best. First you get to make your ghosts – and they are so easy! Next you get to race them against other kids ghosts. Then even if you don’t win you get to keep the ghosts.
Thats the best part. Oh and the straws are a really fun part of the game too.”
Luke said: (@ Age 9)
“When Dayton brought the Ghost Races game to school – we loved it! We got to make the ghosts, race the ghosts and take them home. I made another one for my sister and now we do it too!”

Halloween is just around the corner, and if its your toddler’s first Halloween, dress him up in the cutest costumes you can find. Even if your toddler has experienced a Halloween or two, make this one special by dressing them up and making them the cutest toddler around. Imagine their eyes lighting up as everyone fusses over them and raves about how cute they look. Be prepared with the many options available for possible costume ideas.
Ready to order toddler Halloween costumes are a great choice.
No matter what the costume is – we have partnered up with the right companies to get them for you…here’s where we recommend you get your childs halloween costume this year:
Give these sites a go for your girls halloween costume this year and let us know how it went.
Just purchasing from any website that sells ready to order costumes eliminates the hassle of making your own costume. They cost a little more, but save a lot of time and effort while giving you a professional looking costume.
There are literally hundreds of costumes to choose from. Let your baby become one of his favorite television characters like Elmo from Sesame Street. How about famous cartoon characters such as Batman or Superman? If your child loves chocolate, then dress him up as one of the colors of the M & Ms. If you want to dress up your infant in more classic ways, there are still lots of options to go with. Dress them up in the classic Halloween pumpkin, or perhaps a mischievous monkey. Nothing could be cuter than your little tike in a bear costume. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.
Looking for more conventional ideas? Maybe you would like to make your child a great toddler Halloween costume at home. It’s a great feeling having your child wear something that you made them with love and care. Go for a classic ghost with some sheets from around the house and white face paint. A lady bug or a butterfly could also be made at home with a little more time and effort. Another great idea is to find an old sweatshirt lying around and glue ears to the hood. From there you can make almost any lovable cartoon character come to life. Looking for a more mystical idea? Add moons and stars to a plain black t-shirt with some stickers. Add a cone shaped hat and your child instantly becomes a wizard or witch. Want your little angel to be, well, a little angel? Take an ordinary white t-shirt and sew on fabric wings to the back. Some gold ribbon and a gold headband for the halo makes your angel complete. Pressed for time and can’t get supplies? It is amazing with what you can do with some simple face paint to transform your child into a lion, tiger, or butterfly. If you want an ultra creative costume for your toddler but are short on time take a look at the cute Tom Arma Costumes.
To ensure your child has the best Halloween possible, remember to choose a costume that your child can move freely in. Try not to make the costume so cumbersome that your toddler cannot run around, play games, or trick-or-treat. Also, for safety, make a costume where the child’s face is completely seen. This can decrease confusion and let you keep a closer eye on your child at all times. A useful tip to make things easier on you is to be sure to make the costumes bathroom accessible to reduce accidents. Now all that’s left is to get your camera and give your child a memorable Halloween that you can look back on together after 10 years.

Otherwise. For something simple and fun to do with your kids this Halloween, consider these edible Halloween crafts. Not only will you have fun in the kitchen putting them together, but your taste testers will certainly give these scary treats a thumbs up!
Cup o’ Worms
This treat looks yucky but tastes great. You will finish with an edible cup of worms in real-looking “soil.” This is a great party treat you can make with your child.
You will need:
Packaged chocolate pudding
Gummy worms
Cocoa powder (or hot chocolate mix)
Chocolate sprinkles (also called chocolate Jimmies) – optional
Clear plastic cups
Directions:
Make chocolate pudding and cool it in the refrigerator for a few hours. Put the individual portions into clear plastic cups. Let the top of the pudding remain rough looking. Sieve some cocoa powder on the top of each cup. Also add some chocolate sprinkles if desired. Place a few gummy worms in each cup to look like they are coming up through the pudding “dirt”. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Cup o’ Fish
While this may not be a scary dessert, kids will be fascinated by it. You will simply be making an edible aquarium in a cup. This is a great party treat you can make with your child, and tell your guests they are “real fish!”
You will need:
Blue Jell-O
Gummy fish (or fruit-flavored sharks)
Clear plastic cups
Directions:
Make the blue Jell-O according to the directions on the box. Pour into the clear plastic cups. Let it cool in the refrigerator until partially set it, which will take about an hour. When the cups are partially set, place a few gummy fish in each one. Put them back in the refrigerator until they’re completely set. Eat and enjoy!
Variations include:
For Frozen Fish-Popsicles, freeze the Jell-O in Popsicle molds and add the gummy fish when they are partially set. Be sure to un-mold very gently when entirely frozen. These are really messy to eat and are best eaten outside. Or try an entire Punch Bowl of Fish Jell-O, which is made like the Cup o’ Fish, but in a large, clear punch bowl.
Brain Cell Delight
This is a gross-out treat that older kids will love to make!
You will need:
1 (6oz) blueberry Jell-O mix
1 carton (16oz) small curd cottage cheese
1 can (16 1/2oz) can blueberries in syrup
Directions:
Prepare Jell-O according to package directions. Chill until firm. Scoop cottage cheese into a bowl. Drain and set aside the syrup from the blueberries. Add the berries to the cottage cheese and mix well. Add food coloring to turn the cottage cheese a nice grayish color when blended. To serve put a couple of spoonfuls of Jell-O (congealed brain fluid) on a plate, some of the syrup on that, and a scoop of the cottage cheese & blueberry mix (brain matter) on top. Serves six.
Creepy Witches Fingers
You will need:
1 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Icing sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Almond extract
1 tsp Vanilla
2 2/3 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Almonds, whole blanched
1 Tube red decorator gel (optional)
Directions:
In bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla. Beat in flour, baking soda, and salt. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Working with one quarter of the dough at a time and keeping remainder refrigerated, roll heaping teaspoonful of dough into finger shape for each cookie. Press almond firmly into one end for nail. Squeeze in center to create knuckle shape. Using paring knife, make slashes in several places to form knuckle. Place on lightly greased baking sheets; bake in 325F oven for 20-25 minutes or until pale golden. Let cool for 3 minutes. Lift up almond, squeeze red decorator gel onto nail bed and press almond back in place, so gel oozes out from underneath. You can also make slashes in the finger and fill them with red gel blood. Remove from baking sheets and let cool on racks. Repeat with remaining dough. Recipe makes five dozen cookies.
